Lord Willing, I'm Going to Haiti!

I've tentatively signed up to go to Haiti at the end of September! I will go provided I have the paperwork approval to file my I-600 while I am there. The thought of holding Anchise in my arms makes me grin from ear to ear! The thought of traveling to Haiti makes me both super excited & scared out of my mind.

Ask me how I'm going to pay for this trip? I'll have to answer that I have NO IDEA! I guess it will be like everything else with this adoption...it will happen by the grace of God. Please pray this trip will come together for His glory!

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.

I am so excited for you! It is a wonderful experience. I love Haiti and my heart will forever reside there. It is an experience of a life time. To be able to tell your baby about her birth country and how wonderful and beautiful it is, is a gift.

That is awesome! Lord Jesus please provide, protect, and bless everything involved with this trip. Oh how wonderful to hold your beautiful little Anchise! I can not wait to read all about it.

Oh Stephanie, The very first thing I did when I heard a September trip had been added was to pray that you would sign up for it and trust Him to provide the way. How cool to see that you did! I can't wait to see how He brings you everything you need. I can't wait to see pictures of you with your sweet daughter!

FYI- The funds we needed for my first trip came the night before the absolute deadline to say yes or no. Pray and trust Him, and we'll pray for you, too!

YES!! Praying that God provides exactly what you need, and HE will! He knows your precious girl needs her mama's hugs.

How exciting! I'll pray the Lord provides for you to go and meet your daughter. I remember the thrill of that thought!
Just another thought...but if my memory serves me right, the I-600 petition is kept open for 12 months after filing it. I know a friend who was able to get it extended when her son's passport was delayed (that was 2 years ago), but I would recommend just checking current USCIS filing instructions just to be sure. Then again, hopefully 12 months is plenty of time!
Blessings,
me at Chapter 2
