Thank You Anonymous

Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.
Matthew 7:1-5

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
1 John 3:16-17

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Luke 6:27-28

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:31-32

God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.
Matthew 5:11

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27

Did someone have something not so nice to say??? Weather this is the case or not I enjoyed the verses you shared. TRUTH!

Wow, I echo the previous poster, did "anonymous" say something mean? I also appreciated the verses, as I can relate either way...

Yes, unfortunately someone who knows us (but doesn't have the courage to speak to us face to face) from our previous church made a very nasty & unfounded accusation. I'm praying & seeking the Lord's guidance about how to respond. Let me just say it was deeply hurtful. It was clearly from someone who never took the time to talk to us about our adoption & this path God has put us on.

Thank you for showing us how to respond to such critisicm! You are a mighty servant of the Lord...continue to listen to Him not to the voice of "fools."

I am sorry. it is never easy to deal with hurt. Good for you to choose the harder right over the easier wrong.

First, I'm very sorry you were accused.

Second, your response was PERFECT!

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Praying with you and for you. You are doing something right-why else would there be this kind of hurt and trouble? Our enemy seeks to devour and destroy us. What does he want to bother with 'luke warm' believers? It's when we take action and do stuff for God that we fall under attack. But no need to worry, for our Heavenly Father sees it all and is there for us.

Keep listening to God-he will direct you.

Prayerfully,

Lena

What an amazing follower of God you are, and I pray that this person will see Him revealed in your response. Don't have doubt that you are following His perfect plan for A to join your family.
