Brat Barn Confessions

I have a confession to make. All day long I've been dreading having to do the brat fry tomorrow. We will be serving up brats most of the day & I know from past experience that by the end of this event I will be tired, sick of the smell of brats & have very sore legs & feet.

So as I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself, I see new pictures of Anchise get posted from today. I am quickly reminded why I am willing to do this. It's for her. It's all for her. So I will happily dish out as many brats as I can sell, knowing that each one brings us closer to our financial needs for this adoption. We love this girl & are happy to be stinky & tired for her. Thank you God for this opportunity to raise money for Anchise. We ask that You bless this event abundantly so that we can give You the glory.

So pretty. I long for the day I hold her in my arms.

I wonder what she is thinking? I'm thinking I want to give her a squeeze!

OK, I know this isn't exactly a photo of her, but she has her back to the camera at the bottom & that's good enough for me.

Group pictures are like playing "Where's Waldo", but there she is on the back right in the pretty pink dress. Seriously, if I think her arm is on a picture I will save it.

She is a doll!!

I do the exact same thing!! Hey, people who have not adopted do not understand how we *study* & *scrutinize* the tinies details on our children! When a person can't hold the one they love in their arms, the next best thing is the pictures - even if it is the back of their head!

Blessings, Justine
Waiting for my two little girls in Ethiopia!

What a cutie! I love to hear about other moms who do "silly" things...I have a photo that I'm pretty sure is Fritz - his ear at least! Good luck with your brat barn!

I have done the same thing with photos of our boys. We got a lot of group photos and it was very hard at first to pick out which ones were our boys. It didn't take long though until we were pros at finding them-and yes saving every one even if it just contained the back of their head etc.
