You just never know when you will get an opportunity to bear witness to the great things God can do! I found my opportunity today while applying for my passport. Who knew (well God did, but you know what I mean)? The very nice lady at the counter asked me when I might be traveling abroad. I told her hopefully sometime this summer as I would be going to Haiti to visit the little girl we are adopting. She was very interested in knowing why we were doing this & how it came to be. I shared with her that we were adopting because it was something we have been called to do. I shared with her how God had revealed the country of Haiti to us & how He has provided exactly what we have needed at just the right moment. I know she was truly blown away. She had a big smile on her face & said she got goosebumps listening to me talk.
I decided to do some looking online for information on witnessing. I came across an article that put it this way:
Sharing Christ is about being real and demonstrating our faith with passion, conviction and sincerity. Evangelism is allowing others to picture Jesus in us, not our trying to verbalize without showing Him demonstrated in us first. It is our lives telling His story that the Spirit uses to win people, not just our mouths. Our mouths are to further explain Him.
I love the thought that by simply sharing with conviction & sincerity the things God is doing in my life that someone might see a small glimpse of Him in me.
I also have a huge PRAISE THE LORD to share! I was moved to tears when I logged on tonight to find that our online giving had doubled. What makes it even more amazing is that this generous donation was made by a family we only met a few short days ago. God is so good & so faithful. A huge thanks to this family for being His hands & feet. God is good - all the time!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

That is so awesome about your witnessessing story as well as the donations!!! Go God!!! :o)
Congrats on the donations, first!
Second, I am so with you on the witnessing thing. The Lord has used our journey so often over the past two years to speak through us of His calling and His faithfulness. In fact, a guy at the soccer tournament just this past week was visibly moved to tears by our story. Talk about a tender heart for Jesus! I gave him my blog address and keep praying for him to read and see Jesus in us.
Thanks for your prayers. Keep it up, apparently it ain't over till it's over - and the agency says it might not be over. . . :)
AWESOME opportunity to share what God has done, and PRAISE HIM for the donation!!!
Yes, yes, yes, Lord! The funds! The witnessing opportunity! What a great post!
