Not What a Mom Wants to See...

Hiding under the crib (love the beads in her hair!)...

Still hiding...

Still hiding...

The caption on the photos from yesterday indicated that Miss Anchise did not like all of the visitors to Three Angels so she hid under her bed. I'm so sorry someone is not there for you now baby girl. I pray I will hold you in my arms sooner than later.

I can totally relate to her hiding under the bed...there's not too many places to hide there & it's overwhelming enough with just the kids & staff & then add a team on top of that. You may be worried about her but I think these pictures shows that she's perfectly normal :o)

I feel like this a lot, I wouldn't worry!

Thanks for your encouragement! I'm not so much worried as I am saddened that she feels she has to hide out under the bed. I just want to scoop her up & tell her everything will be OK.

I love these pictures of your sweet girl! It gives a good glimpse into her personality. I don't think that she dislikes visitors, she is just totally overwhelmed by how many are there right now! She was a tad bit shy with me when I first got there, but it didn't take long before she was all over me... using me as her own personal jungle gym:) She takes a little while to warm up, but once she does she is all smiles! I think she will be so happy when finally a visitor comes "just for her!" I SO want to be there to witness you meeting her for the first time. PLEASE?!?

Oh, sweet sweet Anchise, so cute!! Stephanie, I can totally relate to your worry and your overwhelming desire to hold your baby when you see pics of her sad...I felt the exact same way with Gracyn's recent ones...I can't get those sad eyes off my mind. Praying she crawls out and into someone's arms soon, and that you just fly through the process to get her home. I do agree with your poster Kathy, though, that the hiding is a normal behavior. It is when they hug and kiss total strangers with a smile that you want to discourage her so she attaches to and trusts you and your husband...take it from me the children's therapist!

She stayed in her crib when we were there and a lot of people were around, but when I went up to her she was very happy and giggly and loved getting some personal attention! Minutes later she was out and running around with the rest of them!
