I was talking to Delaney tonight about school. I told her I ran into another mom yesterday who told me her daughter was struggling a little with the popularity issues that crop up in middle school. I asked Delaney if it ever bothered her that she was not a part of the "it" crowd. She looked at me matter-of-factly and said, "I'm popular with God and that's all that matters to me." I think I started grinning from ear to ear. I'm so proud of my girl. It makes me so happy to know she is confident and happy with who she is and has a heart for the Lord.

Wow! That is so, so awesome, Stephanie.
That's the coolest thing I've ever heard. What a delightful girl. You know what else...you might assure her that all of life is NOT like middle school. I had a MISERABLE middle school and even though I was serious, had faith, and many things that gave me pleasure, I felt that I'd never have "friends" or even ever get married because I was not ever going to be the sort of person people liked. I was just too serious a soul, I think. What a relief when everyone else grew up!
That is great! What a sweet girl she must be :~)
Wow! That is awesome. What a testament!
Praise God. What a beautiful girl!!
That is AMAZING! How I wish I'd known such a thing at her age. Wow. I am truly blown away! Go, God!!!
How cool that she has her security in the right spot. What a great blessing.
Wow - good job Mom and Dad - you obviously paid close attention to the messages that you passed her way. Middle school is TOUGH, and maybe Delaney ought to try intentionally befriending that girl who is struggling. Sometimes, a well-placed friendship at just the right time can make all the difference for the awkward, uncomfortable kid. Just a thought. . .
By the way, when do you hear about the interview? I'm praying!

That is AWESOME....she is going to do great things in this world. Middle School is SUCH a tough time (I was the opposite of popular myself)...hopefully Delaney can pass along that faith to the other kids.
