A Step in the Right Direction

I did it! I filled out an application and printed out some grant applications to start on tonight.

Please join me in praying that we will find favor with the grant funding sources. If things work out, we will need to come up with the money fairly quickly.

God is able!

God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done.
As one psalmist puts it,
He throws caution to the winds,
giving to the needy in reckless abandon.
His right-living, right-giving ways
never run out, never wear out.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
2 Corinthians 9:8-11 (The Message)

Did I miss something? Are you in process elsewhere? Or do you have to seek grant funding first to start? I'm a little confused . . .

We just got turned down for our final re-application for grant funding. The debt is now up to us, completely and totally. I mean, up to the Lord. But there'll be no outside charitable organization helping us. We likely applied too late and didn't have enough info to go on when we did apply. It was a tough pill to swallow, that final no.

Great news! I am impressed with your momentum - you just take a licking and keep on ticking! After what you've experienced with Haiti, you can probably handle anything Ghana has to dish out!

Wow - how exciting to be in a new stage and depending on the Lord for His timing and answers. I pray for wisdom for you and your family as you move forward.
