I've sat down several times to try & put something together, but the truth is I feel grossly underqualified to do anything like this. I've been praying for some time now that I would find some type of a class or seminar that could teach me a thing or two (or ten).
The good news is that I've found something that I really feel is meant for me. I'm hoping to attend the Proverbs 31 Ministries She Speaks Conference in Concord, NC. However, since we are socking away every bit of extra for the adoption it's hard to also save for the conference registration & airfare.
The reason I'm sharing this with you is two-fold:
- To put it out there. It's just been something that's been on my heart for some time. I thought if I share it with others it would keep me more accountable in trying to achieve this goal.
- To ask you to pray with me. Pray that if I am meant to do this that God would provide a way for that to happen.
Thanks for praying and be blessed!

I'll be praying my friend!
You know I am praying and I think you will be there. I wouldn't mind a detour to VA along the way :)
I will! You do this admirably on your blog!
This sounds wonderful. I will pray for you. Have you heard of CLASS? It may be something else for you to consider. The conference is less expesive.

Like the new blog look :)
Praying!!! Concord is not too far where we use to live in NC.
This sounds amazing! I would love to go with you!
I, too, have thought about attending that conference. What fun would that be, to meet some blogging friends there.
Faith is a topic that I love to speak on (I've had a speaking ministry for 20+ years.). I just gave a talk on Faith in November, at a Family Camp.
I pray that God will provide you with the opportunities to share about your Faith Walk.
And ... Theresa asked if you had heard of the CLASS conference. I attended about 12 years ago, and it was WONDERFUL. I would highly recommend it.
Also ... Kim (above) happens to be a friend of mine. A "for real" friend, that lives nearby. I am so excited to meet her little Elijah. (My youngest also happens to be an Elijah.)
Many blessings,
Laurel :)
PS: Would love to hear which orphanage your little Ghanaian princess is at.
