Good News From a Distant Land

I got my first e-mails today from two ladies at the orphanage in Ghana. I thought it was cute to hear how one of them described our precious one:
God has blessed you with a wonderful baby girl. She is well behaved, disciplined and above all has the fear of God in her. She is very calm. Your baby is excited already and she is happy she has found you.

We did a little family photo shoot today so we could send the Divine Miss M a picture (that was an interesting adventure). We are excited that we were told to write, call or e-mail as much as we want. A lady from the orphanage will help her reply to our e-mails. It's times like this that I REALLY appreciate technology.

I continue to stand in awe of God's faithfulness. Thank you Jesus for this gift.

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:1-3

Ahhhhh....don't you just love family photos????

Craziness I tell you! Someday when you look back at your family albums and see this you will chuckle and be able to remember why someone was lloking elsewhere and all the drama that happened just to get one good photo!!!!

Hugs!

Oh wow, I have fallen behind in your blog....but I LOVE IT because of three posts in one look!! I am imagining now as this precious beauty sees her beautful family and reads their words of love for her....SO AWESOME. God has revealed His plan, and I am THRILLED for you my friend!!! I am looking forward to when we can have our next chat....and praying praying for Miss M and all of you.

P.S. Thank you also for your prayers for Gracie and I, very much..this past week has been esp. rough...my weariness with this process has hit an all-time high I think. But I will press on in faith....knowing I have prayers going up all the time. =)

I can't even imagine REAL communication with your adoptive child! What a HUGE blessing. Ghana is definitely on our list now!

No, way. You get to email her back and forth?! That is the coolest! What a neat way to build the relationship before you even get to her. I'm so amazed. Thanks for sharing all this with us. What a fun journey to take "with" you!

It's great that you get open communication with your child. I hope she enjoys hearing from your family! We REALLY need a family photo, we've been putting it off until all are kids are here, so soon we will get it done. That will be an adventure I'm sure!

Stephanie,

I am so sorry for your loss of little Anchise! I have been MIA for a long while now, due to the girls being home and trying to transition into a family of 10.

I am thrilled to bits to see pictures of your new little girl. She is simply gorgeous!! I love her smile!

I pray that God will bless your faithfulness with a shortened adoption route!

Blessings, Justine
