Where Do We Go From Here?

We have been asked if our adoption story is over. Let me just say NO WAY! This journey has been so amazing, painful, and beautiful all at the same time. It has been an amazing time of spiritual growth. God has called us to adoption. We believe that fully and have no intention of drawing this journey to a sad close.

With the holiday season approaching we have decided to just sit back and "be" until 2009. If, at that time, Anchise has not been returned to Three Angels we will hopefully be matched with another child. Even if we are matched with another child and Anchise is returned to the orphanage we will take her back at any time. We are already approved for two children on our homestudy and in our hearts she will ALWAYS be our daughter. We love her so much and she has been woven into our family in a mighty way.

Right now our main concern is for Anchise's safety & that her needs are met. I ask you to pray every day that she has shelter, water, food and all of the essentials. We pray and trust that God will provide for her every need.

We thank God for this trial and pray our faith will be strengthened as we place our trust in Him.

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine
like the noonday sun.
Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
Psalm 37:4-7

God bless you for your willingness to go on. We all hope she comes back to you but we live in a fallen world so nothing's going to be perfect until heaven. Many, many blessings to you whichever way it goes.

Reading your heart continues to give me peace in this time. Once again, the scriptures He's giving you are the same He's giving me. I literally read that passage less than 10 minutes ago. He is touching me thru you and reminding me of His mercy.

I am praying for you and Anchise today- and for the rest of your family. The pain and ache is exhausting and confusing and overwhelming. The unknown is so hard.
He is with us.

Oh, my friend. What a brave and courageous and FAITH FILLED post this is. I am so awed by your stand. And I am honored to stand with you in this season.

Do you mind if I link to your blog to share your story with my readers who are not in the adoption community? This story has much to teach all of us who are willing to listen and learn.

Hugs to you, my friend.

I, too, am encouraged by your sweet, gracious, Christ-like spirit through this.

I'm so glad you're still pursuing adoption. Won't it be awesome if through all of this, you are able to bring TWO children into your sweet home instead of just one?

Hi SS,
I'm so thankful you know God and that you are leaning on Him during this very difficult time. I am committed to pray for Anchise every time I visit your blog or see the link to it on mine.
Much love,

Still praying for you, your family, Anchise and her birthmother fervently. My dear friend, I pray that your broken hearts will be comforted and that God will send angels to watch over your sweet girl. She will always be your daughter in your heart, and I still pray that she will come home with you one day. Many hugs, Katy
