Thankful

Whether I was able to be her mother for just six days or if it works out to be a lifetime, I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with Anchise in Haiti. This adoption has made me a better person. My time with her made me a better person. I am thankful.

IF I have shown any grace during this loss, it has been by GOD'S grace alone. Love you guys! Thanks for being there for me.

Stephanie, that was BEAUTIFUL!! Just beautiful. The song is very uplifting: Thank you for all your goodness; For all you give and all you take away.

Thank you Stephanie for showing me how to grieve (smile). You are a wonderful person.

I know this has been extremely hard for you and your family.

No matter how it hurts, love like that is never wrong. It is beautiful and so are you. Your strength and faith through this are lights shining for the Lord. You are an inspiration.

I still pray for each of you. Hold on to those memories, and continue to find the sweetness in the midst of it all.

I am so glad that you have given yourself permission to grieve. Yes, you have shown grace, but it is also very clear that you are not ignoring your loss. You are so right. The ones we fall in love with, whether ours for a moment or for a lifetime, will always belong in our hearts.

Thank you for your godly example of how to handle difficult, heartbreaking circumstances. I am humbled by your choice to worship!

When I was watching this, it's as if I saw a big line in the sand. You and your family marking the lines of battle and giving notice that THIS will not take you out. What a testimony you will have of God's graciousness and mercy!

Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful photos of your precious time with Anchise. She is such a gorgeous little princess, and she looks so content with you. My prayers continue to go out for her, for you, your husband, your children, and her birthmother often. I admire you so much...Call any time..I can't believe you are willing to share my joy even in your pain...what a friend.

We've had several times where we were considering different children to be part of our family and then had those situations not work out. Something that always comforted me was the thought that no one else may have ever prayed for that child but us. What a privelege I believe that to be, to know that we were bringing a child before the Lord who may have never ever been prayed over before. May your heart heal but may Anchise always have a little piece of your heart.
