Paint Therapy

Dawn termed my recent project "paint therapy"...and man was she right on the money. I completely needed a project to take my mind off of the adoption (or lack thereof). So Thursday night I made up my mind I was going to paint the living room and kitchen/dining room. Friday night I bought the paint. Today I got one color in the living room done. It looks really great!

The line up of colors includes earthy ocher, braided raffia, and baked bean. Yeah, baked bean isn't the most glamorous color name. I'm thinking whoever came up with that one wasn't feeling creative that day.

This post is boring me to tears...sorry.

I am so sorry that the adoption of your sweet Anchise is so unknown at this point. I really hope she comes back and if not then I sincerely hope that she has everything she ever needs. I have been thinking about your family a lot (and I don't even know you!) and I've tried to form some sort of message to you but I just don't have the words to say that could possibly comfort you. Take your time to grieve and blog about painting if you want, even if it bores you to tears :-) Maybe some photos of the color swatches would spice it up? Or some photos of you painting, now that is a good time. (ha!) Anyway just wanted to say that I am thinking of you!

I am impressed. =) I think painting sounds like wonderful therapy. If you still want to do more, come on over to my house. Just kidding. I think of you all the time...Call if you need to.

Definitely post pictures. The "baked bean" has me cracking up. What a name for a wall color. LOL I totally need to paint my living room in a BAD way, but it will have to wait until after the holidays, I guess. Last I looked, I preferred a "Baguette" color. SO baked beans and baguettes...interesting :~)

And your little man and his tricks...what a CUTIE :~)

You're smart to throw yourself in to something like this. I'm sure the sense of accomplishment is rather soothing. I would just be wallowing and pouting all day. I know you're still hurting very much, and you're still in my prayers... but I'm so proud of you, Stephanie!

I love you paint colors. Very warm & earthy, your place will look excellent.

Staying busy with a big project is a great idea. I know it doesn't make the pain go away but it is better tahn dwelling on your sadness all day too.

I am sending positive thoughts your way as you go through this time.
