Limbo

No, I'm not talking about dancing under a stick...

I'm just feeling disconnected from this whole process and I've got to admit I'm not lovin' it. I was looking forward with great anticipation to maybe being in IBESR by now. Instead we've got nothin'. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Bubkis.

So if Anchise is not meant to be our daughter, who is? Where is she? What do we do next? Have you ever felt like you had more questions than answers? Lord, grant us wisdom (and a fair amount of patience).

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Stephanie, I just cannot imagine how difficult this is. I am trusting that God will reveal the answers to these questions to you very soon and that He will give you His peace and comfort each day.

I am sure it will all be clear very soon...there is a child in Haiti meant to be yours and they will be so lucky to enter your family.

It is so very hard. Keep looking up to God and not to what is around you.

This is what adoption is. Fortunately, I learned this before we actually went into it ourselves, from noting all the families in our parish who would call me about baptism (part of my job)....They'd tell me their child was supposed to be here a few months later....often it was over a YEAR later when I'd hear from them. Compared to those adoptions, from China and Guatemala, even Paraguay, our Russian adoption was swift. But even then I knew NOT to take the agency's estimation. And was I ever right. Perhaps adoption agencies should be more like doctors. Doctors always seem to tell you their worst-case-scenario.

what we usually want in our life is not what we get,I have figured this our several times and what God wants is always what we end up wanting in the long run as well.Keep your head up and your heart open and trust God!I have had a hard time in the last few weeks with knowing Dieula isn't mine, but I have peace with that, and am like you trusting in God to do whatever is his will. But going to Haiti and seeing her with someone else is going to be SO hard so pray for me on that one..

When God closes a door he opens a window. What seem to hurt so bad now will only make us stronger for the next trial that God has for us. Keep your head up......walk by faith not by sight.

I know it must be difficult to head into the holidays with this weighing heavy on your heart. I pray that you will find peace and be able to focus on your children who are now home as well as on what matters most.

I really do understand. Haiti adoption is not for the faint of heart, or for people who like to be in control ;) I hope the answers come for you soon.
Thinking of you
