No passport.
No visa appointment Monday.
God is in control.

Stephanie, you are right, God is in control but it's still disappointing when you get your hopes up again and then it doesn't go as expected. Still praying, God has a plan!

I am frustrated they told you to make the appointment. Lois never should have said that. I am so so sorry. So sorry.

Oh Steph. I just hurt so deeply for you. I am so sorry. I agree with what Jen said above. We've had lots of cases where a passport is printed and just waiting for a signature (for weeks). I was praying this wouldn't be the case for you. Still praying that. Don't put yourself through this torture again though. Don't listen to anybody who tells you to make an appointment until you have SEEN the passport with your own eyes! There are scanners all over Ghana. This isn't too much to ask. You've been hurt too many times to trust blindly. Sorry if I'm saying too much. I'm just mad for you right now.

I am so sorry. I remember the anguish of the last steps. It's so hard. Hang in there. She will come home and turn your world upside down-in a good way, of course :)

Hey Stephanie,

I've been without internet for a few weeks and as soon as we got it back, I checked your blog... praying for good news! So sorry about your disappointment. Along with Anita, I am mad for you too! Turning that anger into more prayers... Our family loves yours and we are all praying fervently!

Love, Cara

Ok...
Stephanie, I am so sorry, so very sorry you are having to walk this ridiculously long journey but I just know that God has His hand upon Mercy and your family and what the devil means for harm God WILL turn to good! Praying, praying, praying, praying, praying!!!!!!!!!
Much love!

I was so sad to read this non-news Steph! We've been waiting on a court decree for our Daniel and were SO sure on Feb 15 we HAD it.....we still do not. As I pray over Daniel's paperwork I am praying over Mercy's as well...for God to move the hearts of the officials who need to sign our docs and get our children home. I know it is all in God's timing, so a part of this experience is our being able to rest 100% in that knowledge every moment. Some days I think I've "got it" and I'm "there" and other days I'm repenting and recommitting. Letting go of a God given Mamma-heart over to the heart of Abba Father is not as easy as it sounds!
Hugs
