What a Difference!

On the left measuring at a sturdy 3" is my Haiti dossier. On the right measuring in at a whopping 3/16" is my entire Ghana dossier. I kid you not - that's the whole thing. Why does this seem like it should be much more painful?

Oh my gosh, that is crazy....It should never be that much or that hard to adopt a child from anywhere that has a loving family waiting for them...We have several families adopting from haiti right now in our church (5 to be exact) and they think it's not gonna take as long as everyone elses..I pray daily for them because I have witnessed people waiting for like 3 years for their child..I am so excited for you and your family and for the precious little girl that God has placed in your life!!

That is SO NOT FAIR!!

I know you pray for Anchise every day, yet you have no idea where she is or how she's doing. That is hard, sweet friend! I would hardly say you don't have enough pain! Once you give away a piece of your mama heart there's no getting it back. I'm so thankful the Lord is being merciful to you with Ghana! I sure hope I can get in on that action before the bureaucracy kicks in and makes Ghana as bad as Haiti!

Wow. I never anticipated such a difference between the two countries. I mean, wow. And Greg's Wife is right, you've had enough pain. Time for the joy that comes in the morning, girl! :)

Your picture says it all! We adopted from Haiti & Ghana too!! Haiti almost 4 years ago and last year from Ghana - two incredible blessings!!!

This adoption journey is awesome but as you know, you have to keep your seatbelt on as it is usally a bumpy ride!!! :)

Blessings to you!

Unbelievable!!! Praying that Ghana's dossiers stay that size & that Haiti's start to shrink.

Lisa...I pray that you're right about the shorter waiting time. Everybody thought we would get through in record time too...because we are one of the few families that fit the 3 Haitian requirments from Haiti that don't need special permission from the President to adopt...and here we sit 2 years & 4 months later...although I'm not complaining because some of my friends have waited a lot longer.

Haha...I completely understand this picture..we switched from Armenia to Ghana..it had taken weeks to compile info for the Armenian dossier..the Ghana dossier took minutes comparatively!! Good luck with your adoption!

Ha!! I had no idea that there was such a difference with countries. I was thinking...'what are all of those people complaining about when they talk about adoption paperwork-this is easy!' I guess it is just Ghana that is pretty matter of fact. I guess I will count my blessings and get off my high horse now! ;)

ps-I haven't forgotten about your hair question. I think I will post on it in the next couple of days since others are asking too.
