Gassant Resigns
According to the Miami Herald Claudy Gassant has resigned. From what I understand (please correct me if I'm wrong) he has been a huge source of delays in the Haitian adoption process. Please pray that the new District Attorney appointed in Port au Prince will have compassion on these children and will be instrumental in expediting the process of bringing these kids home.
I was SO happy to read this! I've always tried to be gracious in my prayers for this man, but it's been hard:) I've been praying that something just like this might happen! NOW... onto praying that his replacement is a God-fearing person that will help our kids come home in record time!!!
Wow, big changes! Of course, we will pray that the hand of God moves Anchise to her forever home quickly and without tangles or snarls in the transition of leadership!
Isn't this the coolest? Praying for a replacement who loves the Lord and looks to His word as the standard for all things! From what I understand, we need to pray for a similar change of staff at the US visa office... What a wonderful Lord we serve who cares enough to move like this on behalf of His children.
Faith is BELIEVING the Word of God and acting on it no matter how I feel, believing that God will bring a good result.
Faith is not a belief that everything will turn out to please us; rather it is the confidence that no matter how things turn out, God will somehow use the events in our days for His glory and for our good.
Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.
Faith is being willing to trust God - turning your hopes and problems over to Him and trusting in His wisdom - and knowing that somehow everything will turn out for the best. No matter how difficult or dark things become, there is always a light.
Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.
Faith is a reasoning trust, a trust which reckons thoughtfully and confidently upon the trustworthiness of God.
Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.

Praying, praying, praying!!! I find it interesting that the paper said he "resigned." From what I heard, he didn't have a choice.

Answered prayer for sure!! Yes, let us be on our knees that the replacement is adoption-friendly and a Christian.
