Miss McBald & the Curse Birds
Another great show last night - packed house, standing ovation & all! There were a lot of talented kids on that stage. After the show was done many of the families were going to a local restaurant to hang out & eat. We did this last year, but it wasn't the most positive experience & it got really late. I asked Delaney if she wanted to try again, but she wanted to just go hang out with mom (hooray for me). We drove around to find someplace that was open late & not too loud and ended up at McDonald's. It was just us and another booth with two there...until Miss McBald & the Curse Birds showed up.
The place was virtually empty & they could have sat down anywhere, but lucky us they decided to plop down in the table next to ours. It was a girl who had shaved her head bald (obviously in an effort to make a statement) and two upstanding young gentlemen (insert sarcasm here). Within the first minute I heard about their night at the bar, at least three F* bombs (along with other choice words), and something about a penis. Thankfully we were almost done, but needless to say we didn't stay long after that. It never ceases to amaze me at the lack of respect some people show.
All in all it was a great night. It was fun to get in some more girl time over an Oreo McFlurry & some fries late at night. After this afternoons performance they will strike the set & then head off to the cast party at the park. It's a beautiful day for an outdoor party here...thank you Lord!
Faith is BELIEVING the Word of God and acting on it no matter how I feel, believing that God will bring a good result.
Faith is not a belief that everything will turn out to please us; rather it is the confidence that no matter how things turn out, God will somehow use the events in our days for His glory and for our good.
Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.
Faith is being willing to trust God - turning your hopes and problems over to Him and trusting in His wisdom - and knowing that somehow everything will turn out for the best. No matter how difficult or dark things become, there is always a light.
Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.
Faith is a reasoning trust, a trust which reckons thoughtfully and confidently upon the trustworthiness of God.
Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.
