Somethings Brewin'

I have a lot of posts brewing in my head. I think of something I want to write about and try to come up with a semi-clever title. When I sit down to write my thoughts I feel uninspired, type a few sentences, and promptly quit.

I've Started Things Like:
Why I Feel Weird When People Ask How We're Doing
I'm Not Colorblind
Please Don't Put Her on a Pedestal
God Will Tell Us When We're Done
We're Not Heroes
Life...Normal, but Not

I think it's mostly because life just feels pretty hectic right now. In addition to adjusting to our new normal, there are just SO MANY activities going on with school wrapping up. Not to mention dentist and doctor appointments up the wazoo. I don't like this fast paced, go, go, go life. I'm not cut out for it and it is showing.

I'm ready for relaxed bedtimes and meals. I'm ready for no homework or packing lunches. I'm ready for life to slow down just a bit. Bring on the summer!

I hear you. I hate that being-so-busy-you-can't-even-catch-your-breath feeling. That's where life is for us right now too. Not that we are running here or there just that we are so busy trying to keep up here at home, if that makes sense!

Love the title's of your posts and can't wait until you have some "down time" (HA!) to write them.

Much love!

Yes, me too. Can't believe it's been four months, here. time flies. I'm not cut out for the go go go life either. Not sure what to do about that.....

I think we all need to have a SIT DOWN STRIKE as regards all the NONSENSE that occurs in the spring. Really. Let's speak out! Some things, i.e. graduations must occur in the spring. You can't choose the date of someone else's wedding. However, why can't the children's choir have their party and awards on the Church's anniversary celebration, or in March "just because"? Why does every little class the kids take have to have a big-deal conclusion requiring parent presence and/or effort?

As the director of a children's program I know that you sort-of FEEL like people "expect" it! Just to keep my own sanity, all we do is have the final class! No one complains that there isn't a gathered event requiring parent participation!

BTW, I love all your post titles - they give a good sense of it! And I DO know the frustration! It is like the MORE you have to say, and really the more you want to share, the less time you have to do it!

Hi Stephanie!
All of your post titles sound very interesting, but there's a time for everything, including blogging. :D Take it as easy as you can, if you are tired out, you're not at your best for anyone or anything, pace yourself and I guess don't be afraid of saying "no" sometimes. All the best.

I am with you on that! Alas, because of the unexpected interval with the adoption and getting stuck stateside we have officially put on the "year-round homeschoolers" hat! Add another baby in 8 weeks and an international move 6 weeks after that. . . sigh. no hope in slowing down around here. enjoy a Popsicle for me if you can!

We are going crazy too with church concerts, end of soccer, the twins birthday, Jasmine's dance recital and Jessica's high school graduation plus all the end of year school fun days etc. Right there with you in coo coo land.

I feel like I could write the text under some of those titles! It's just too overwhelming to try and articulate all the different feelings/thoughts going on. Maybe someday...until then, I'll keep reading yours!

Maybe you'll be able to write those posts once things slow down for the summer. Look forward to reading them. :)
