Or should I say strange daze? It's been a weird couple of days with a dash of wonderfulness in the middle.
At the end of last week we received word that our nephew's dad had taken his own life. Yesterday we found out that my Grandma Eliza died. Two very sad situations for various reasons.
Saturday Jeff and I left in the morning and spent the whole day together (kid free) - we went Christmas shopping, went out to lunch, saw Fireproof (which was excellent), shopped some more, and reluctantly came home. We don't do much without the kids and it was so wonderful to spend a carefree day with the one I love. We definitely need to schedule time like that more often.

Oh I'm so sorry for your losses!
Glad you had a dash of wonderful in between. That movie IS great.
I, too, am sorry for the losses in your family. We'll continue to lift you all in prayer.
Sounds like you had a nice day in the midst of the losses. I'm glad for that. Praying for you and your family.
Hi Stephanie!
I'm sorry for your losses. My husband took his own life so I know how difficult it can be to lose a loved one that way. If you would like to talk, just email or give me a call.
Hugs,
Tracy
P.S. You continue to be in my prayers as you wait upon the Lord for His leading in your adoption journey. I think often of all of you and Anchise as well.
I am sorry.
Isn't Fireproof the most wonderful movie? (even though I'm single, I watched it with my mom!) I am so very sorry about your losses, especially right before the Christmas season. I hope we can talk soon..
