I noticed on the Children of the Promise (our orphanage in Haiti) website yesterday that effective 11/15/07 they are no longer accepting new applications until sometime in 2008. Because of the long wait times being experienced in Haiti, they have a lot of children who are moving through the system slowly and can't go home yet. Please join me in praying that these adoptions move through the system quickly so the children that have been matched with a family can go home. Another bonus would be that new babies can then come into the center where they will receive love & nourishment and have a safe place to live.
Thankfully our application was approved on November 1st, so we made it in just under the wire. Praise God!

I just read your blog from the very beginning and had many "amens!" to things you wrote--joys, struggles, praises...
I am so EXCITED about your pregnancy even though I've never met you. I pray that those who know you personally would be intentional about ways they can encourage your heart and bless you during this time. It just is not natural for people to connect to a paper pregnancy the same way they do with a biological pregnancy.
I pray that with each bump in the road (since we're all bound to face those in our processes) that God will be BIG in those times. HE IS!
Oh, and I'm praying too, that the Lord will provide every dollar of your costs. We are trusting one fee at at time for $45,000. We're totally in the same boat! It's HARD! I look forward to seeing how He provides for your family.
