Burdened

From the moment I met her last August I had a special connection with another sweet girl from Ghana. I've been blessed to spend time with quite a few orphaned children in my travels, but never have I been so burdened for a child.

I think about her all the time. I pray for a family for her. I see her potential and her sweetness. I feel her arms around me and hear her begging me not to go because she will be sad. She deserves a chance at something more.

Will you take a moment to pray for precious Rebecca today? I pray God will answer my prayers for her and bring her to a loving home.

'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'
Jeremiah 29:11

Oh, Stephanie - now you know how this works, it should be EASY the second time!

LOL - at Annie. It kinda is how this works, huh?! And so far, I only brought one home.

But Stephanie, I know what you mean. . . whatever the Lord has planned for this little one, for your family, you can be SURE that He has good plans to prosper you all, to give you a hope and a future beyond any thing you could dream up for her or for yourself!

And yes, I will pray for sweet Rebecca!

Pray for a family--Yes, of course. But last time it turned out to be the family who asked us to pray who ended up going back for the child : )

I know, much easier said than done.

She is precious! Do you know who is placing her... which US agency? You can email me at sweetpea31897@msn.com. Do you have to be present for the court date now? I remember reading about that.

I will include sweet Rebecca in my prayers. I wish my husband and I could be financially able to adopt her into our home and family.

It is wonderful to see that Mercy is home!! I am blogging again, and trying to see what is going on with my friends. I will be praying for Rebecca when I pray for Mary. I am so happy that your Sweet Mercy is home!
