Praying for Mercy

Today our I-600 paperwork arrived in Texas! It feels SO GOOD to have this out of my hands. I was so excited to have mailed this yesterday so when I came home from my morning ladies group and saw I had new pictures in my inbox I was doubly thrilled.

Until I opened them.

I noticed with the previous set of pics (and other people commented as well), that Mercy just seemed off. She wasn't her usual perky, smiley self. Needless to say I have been very concerned for her well-being and shed quite a few tears over these.

We are praying for all obstacles to Mercy's homecoming be removed. We are praying that any approvals we need will be obtained quickly and without fail. We are praying for a hedge of protection to be placed around Mercy. Also, we are praying that the finances needed for travel will not be an issue and that anything we need for when that time comes will be there. We are trusting God for his love and protection over Mercy's life. Our hope is in Him.

Oh, you poor thing. These would break my heart, too. These photos show a little girl such a far cry from the clean, pretty, frilled-up, smiling and joyful child in the orphanage. And, I was always impressed with the cleanliness and "niceness" of the environment. These are so sad. Poor little darling. Well - it is very close!

oh honey, don't cry. God is there with her and He loves her far more than anyone can imagine. I am praying for her protection and her heart to be once again filled with peace and an abundance of joy. Be steadfast knowing that God has His hand in the entire situation. The unknowns are scary and the enemy loves to get a foothold when we begin to focus on what we don't know rather than holding firm to what we do know. You know God has brought Mercy into your life and you into hers - remember His work and pray pray pray.

Praying for sweet Mercy and for God to bring just that for you and her as you wait. May the end of the process come quickly for you.

I hate receiving "off" pictures, too. Praying she was just in a mood and not ill. Praying for all your hearts to be ready for the transition!

Oh Stephanie, I can see what you are saying with these pictures. Lord, I pray for a hedge of protection around this little girl. Protect her steps and guide her paths. May your angels watch over her and let no harm come to her. I pray for health and happiness for her. Please, Lord, please, bring this baby home to her Momma. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen.

Praying with you all for little Mercy....that her spirits will be lifted up, that God will remind her that she has a family waiting to love on her, that things go smoothly until the day she can be brought to her new home. Praying for you, too, Stephanie, that God will give you a peace, knowing that He has it all worked out and not to let the Enemy plant seeds of fear, doubt and worry in your mind and heart.

Stephanie,

In catching up on blogs I follow I read this and thought it would speak to your heart today.

I'm so sorry. It must be hard to see these and know she's "not herself" in them. I'm sad for you, and for her. I'm praying for you my friend.

Oh Stephanie...my heart goes out to you. Bless her little heart. I remember getting some photos of Gracie about a year ago where she was obviously sick and not herself. I felt like my heart was being ripped out....but rest assured, God DOES have your Mercy in the palm of His hand. He will protect her....and He will bring her home. My prayers are with you both. COME ON VISA!!

It's so hard and the pictures make the wait so much more. My heart goes out to you, and I pray for an end to this wait. I also pray for God's protection over your sweet Mercy. Hugs from afar.

Hi Stephine, Oh my, I almost cried looking at these pics. We took such good care of her at our home. It is so so so upsetting what has happened.. I pray for her health and safety. Please pray for all our kids who were taken from us and displaced. They are all so sad. We really need to fight. I wish I could get some help with a ton of letter flooding the DSW office (Mr Adongo) and demand him to stop this foolishness. God has his hand on Mercy. We love her too and are praying for her to get to you quick!
