My Name is Stephanie, and I'm a Procrastinator

Well, I did it last year. And the year before. And most likely the year before that. I have all year to make my kids Halloween costumes, but I cannot start this project until the last moment. I just can't. I would like to clarify, however, that I do my best work under pressure!

I have been hard at it sewing costumes for the last few days. Keaton's is done. Delaney's is 1/4 done. Brezlan's is 3/4 done. My husband just looks at me and shakes his head and smiles. He thinks I am crazy, but I nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on my kids faces when they put on their costumes. I will sew on...

Look at all that talent!

I buy mine 1/2 price the day after Halloween : ) Really, we have a box of dress up clothes and home made outfits for younger kids but last year I went into K-Mart and they had three adult sized costumes that were perfect my older ones. And they were 75% off (of $40).

This is a great family trait that we share. My name is Christina, and I'm a procrastinator also. Is there help out there for us?

Kelly - the pattern has an adult size too. I'll get right on that!

Beanie - I think the reason we proscrastinate is to rebel against our moms who always plan ahead and have everything ready months ahead of time. Don't you think?

Delaney here! I love her costumes each and every year. I can't wait to see what my costume will be next year.

Admitting it is half the battle!:)

That is so sweet. I wish I could do that. I guess I could, but we'd probably all be too embarassed for the kids to wear them in public. LOL

That is so cool that you make their costumes!

Steph I have to agree with you....it is all our mother's fault. Today is Mylee's birthday and I still don't know we are having for dinnner and everyone is coming to my house at 6. At least we will have birthday cake. Can we all say proscrastinate together!! I think we need to start a group meeting for this.....wait that will never get done. :o)

Procrastination is one of the reasons I've only ever sewn one costume. My procrastination makes my family nervous. Slugger's superman costume didn't come with a cape and he is very uptight that I haven't made one for it yet.

Oh my! You are SuperMom, Stephanie! I can't even begin to imagine sewing ONE costume, let alone THREE... and I actually like sewing.

Ok, thanks for putting the rest of us to shame!!!!!

I am a loser mom. My kids have to find something in the house to use as their costume. I must admit they have have come up with some really ingenious things. It makes them use their brains!

But I aspire to be like you and make some...someday!
